Maintenance Notes:

Blue My Mind loves hot weather, in fact, the hotter the better! It will perform best in full sun and needs to be protected from even light frost. It is drought tolerant, once it is established. Plants do need to be watered well for several weeks during root establishment. While the plants can withstand drought conditions, growth and flowering are better with consistent moisture. Deadheading is unnecessary. A good dose of compost or slow release fertilizer will improve performance.

  • I live in zone 8b and I planted these annuals last year and they have all come back this year. So great. Having a mild winter helped I'm sure. I love those kind of surprises and blessings to my budget.

Outstanding My favorite plant, I recommend to others all the time and explain the reasons why I like it so much.

  • I bought this plant in the fall a 2018 and I overwintered it outside in Savannah Georgia. I thought I might have killed her but it stayed green and I cleaned it up about a month ago added some fertilizer and it has started blooming again and new leaves are popping up on all of it stems. I can't wait to see it come into full bloom.

Above Average Superior performance, among my favorites, would recommend to others.

  • Still looks lovely even though I have not been the best at keeping up with water during several dry spells.

  • 1 of 3 died. The other 2 are alive and green, but not growing and no flowers have bloomed in the 9 weeks since planting. Very disappointing.

Marginally Adequate Performed below expectations but may be willing to try again.

  • Love this plant! I have gardened for many years and did not know about it until I visited my homeland, South Africa, a couple of years ago and just had to have it. I was so excited when I found it at our local nursery last summer. I have it growing on a very difficult to propagate bank and it does so well. It is a fast grower and once established does not need much water (which is great with our water situation in California). We had heavy frost this past winter and I was unable to protect it ahead of time and really thought I had lost it all. I decided to leave what was left of the plants and tend to them last on my rounds of the yard this spring, and amazingly, they have come back beautifully which made me think they are more of a perennial than an annual. They really looked dry and dead, but came back . I am currently pulling other plants in order to plant more of the Evolvulus for an even more showy display. Highly recommended!

  • Have bought this plant for three years. Loved it! Exceptional. This year the nursery , Capognas Greenhouse , Leamington Ontario, didn't grow it! I am SO disappointed. After reading the reviews, I see it could have been brought inside for winter! Darn

Above Average Superior performance, among my favorites, would recommend to others.

  • This plant is my favorite plant of all. And that's saying something! It is so low-maintenance and easy-to-care for. I grow mine indoors in a south facing window and it has been plastered with flowers since I got it nearly a year ago....even in winter. This spring, it is growing and blooming like crazy...it's never without blooms. I feed my plant with an organic blooming formula, and it loves it. It's totally drought-resistant and never wilts when I forget to water it occasionally. I plan on keeping this plant alive indefinitely. It's a must-have for any gardener. If you don't have this plant, you're truly missing out. The true-blue flowers are out-of-this-world. Thank you PW for selling such an incredibly awesome plant. Wow is all I can say.
