    Wine & Spirits weigela is one of our favorite new plants. An update on our classic Wine & Roses weigela, this vigorous, handsome variety combines even more dramatic dark foliage with crisp white-green flowers. A real showstopper in the garden center and landscape.

    Vibrant foliage looks best when used in shrub borders, mixed borders, edging, groundcover, and in containers.

    Maintenance Notes: 

    Prefers well-drained soils but fairly adaptable to other soil types.  If necessary, prune immediately after the spring bloom. Best flowering occurs in full sun, but light shade isn't harmful, particularly in warmer climates.

    If desired, fertilize in early spring with a granular fertilizer formulated for woody plants, like a rose fertilizer.
