I was so excited about these. Gorgeous growth habit, stays a reasonable size and seemingling "everything" resistant. I purchased 3 in May from an IGC. By July two of them had turned brown and died. The third looked like it might survive but it turned brown 2 wks ago and I just removed it. When I spoke with the IGC, they said I had planted and cared for in appropriate and recommended ways. They unfortunately wouldnt refund me or tell me why they died so quickly. Expected better for the expense and reputation of PW.

Tough guy, eh?
Yes, indeed! Tortuga juniper is simply one of the toughest evergreens we offer. Simply plant this handsome native juniper in a sunny, well-drained spot and watch it beautify your yard all year long. It naturally grows as a low-mounded groundcover, with pleasing emerald-green foliage. Readily withstands cold, sun, drought, deer, rabbits, air pollution, and even black walnut trees.
Available in better garden centers in spring 2021.
Top reasons to grow Tortuga juniper:
- Tough, sun-loving evergreen transforms difficult spots into a carpet of green.

Maintenance Notes:Junipers are an excellent choice for year-round color in sunny, dry spots. Plant where they get at least six hours of bright sun each day for best results. Little to no pruning is needed; remove select branches to shape or manage growth if necessary. If you wish to fertilize, do so in early spring, once the ground has thawed, using a granular garden, rose, or tree fertilizer.

New this year. What a nice plant with resilient growth. Tolerating clay soil in 100 degree heat and high humidity this summer. Full sun to some with filtered shade.
